- Great visual design
- Improved performance for the average player
- Uses most advanced technology in the G family
- The shaft can feel short when coupled with the large clubhead
The driver uses stronger titanium in the face which allowed for a thinner and more flexible result. The head stability was also improved and the change in materials led to a change in sound which is stronger now. The center of gravity is very low and moved towards the back. This is something we`ve seen manufacturers strive for to achieve longer distances. The change in the center of gravity also leads to more forgiveness and accuracy for those off-center shots.
The drivers has a new face angle which means the forces applied to the loft don`t need to be as strong as before. You can thus transfer more energy to the ball with less effort. The face of the club will also twist less which will results in longer distances.
This comes with a powerful yet muted sound which leaves the impression of solidness. In terms of comparison, the G30 can achieve 3mph more than the G25 for the average player. This led the driver in to the top position for sales in its category within weeks after the official launch.
The main focus of the design is with the Turbulators. They help create more speed and ball velocity. The chosen materials are strong, lightweight and thin which resulted in a reduced overall weight. This weight has been moved towards the back and was lowered to improve covered distances. With the SF-Tech version you can even get a lighter swing with more draw bias.
The Ping G30 Driver comes with an impressive 10-year history. The G family has always performed well. This is why the G30 became a top seller in the first months since its launch. The new materials allowed for a lower point of gravity which was shifted towards the back and gave the driver the strength and mobility which golfers look for.
When compared against the G25 it can deliver 3mph more which is enough for some players to make an upgrade. It will also work as a first driver and intermediate or advanced players will love its simplicity. With a strong song it will make an impact on the course while the Taurbulators will also add a strong visual impression.
